We can be reasonably assured that you’ve never seen a watch quite like this before:

Halda’s Race Pilot, which is designed for drivers and engineers, is actually two watches in one: There’s a mechanical module with a movement from Zenith, and a special digital module with an electronic movement from Halda itself. The user can interchange these two models at will, all without using any tools. (Talk about a modern tool watch, though!)

Housed in a 45mm titanium and carbon case with ‘holey’ lugs, an unsigned crown, and a cool riveted, carbon bezel, it features a mechanical module with a luminous, black honeycomb dial, applied ‘Arabic’ indices, a matching, red-and-white-tipped ‘sword’ handset, a power reserve indicator, a sub-seconds register, and a date window at 6 o’clock. Powering this module is the Zenith Calibre 685, an enhanced iteration of the automatic Calibre 670.

The digital module — which features the same carbon bezel as the mechanical module, but with the addition of two push-buttons — is powered by the Caliber HR 2012-1 from Halda. This unique mini-computer is an engineer’s best friend, providing information on racetracks, countdown timers, world timers, an accelerometer, G-force measurement, and much more. Running on custom software, it’s a unique offering geared toward serious professionals.

Paired to a black rubber strap with a signed, stainless steel push-button deployant clasp, the Halda Race Pilot is built for speed, and engineered to take a beating. If you spend lots of time behind the wheel, this timepiece is calling your name!
