At nearly 100 years old, The Portugieser line has slowly evolved to get to the wide range of offerings that we have today, with a variety of case materials, complications, and sized, while never deviating too far from its fundamental design language.

The Portugieser that we have here, however, is something special.

This particular piece, a Reference IW546302, comes in with a 43mm case finished in rose gold with a sapphire crystal, a signed crown, and a polished bezel. It features a satin 'opaline' silver dial with a subsidiary seconds register at 6:00, a matching 'feuille' handset, and a window at 9:00 that reveals a glimpse of the 'flying minute tourbillon' within.

Flip the watch over, and IWC's manually wound Calibre 98900 movement with the aforementioned flying minute tourbillon is revealed via a sapphire exhibition caseback.

Combine the Portugieser's iconic design and modern-day IWC pedigree with a properly complicated and impressive movement, and it is a winner on all fronts.

Sounds pretty good to us!
